I found my camera! I can't find my charger for the battery so it might be a while before I post more crappy photos of my crappy food but anyway. I thought about making an official food blog or something but I don't remember to take pics of my food enough to do that. I get so hungry I dive in...
Anyway this 1st one is chicken that I boiled from frozen, cut up, let simmer in tomatillo salsa that I made myself. I added red tomatoes whatever was on sale and added a pinch of sugar to take off the acidity and that green stuff is pickled cactus.

The weather has been crap. I know its been sunny some days but not enough. I should have started my garden by now but it's been way too cold at night. If the weather doesn't get nice soon I'm going to have miniature everythings! I guess I could get a plant lamp for my tomatoes and grow them inside but my peppers and cabbage and squash...oh no the squash that needs room. Let me tell you how squash is. Squash is that friend you have you crashes on your couch. The friend who starts to slowly move in and the next thing you know it is EVERYWHERE. Squash is wild and is unaware of other plants. It will spread and cover everything. Maybe stunted squash is a good idea.
I'm going to try strawberries this year and Kiwis. Kiwis are a vine fruit so I thought I could let them go crazy on the whatever you call it... patch crosshatch fence wall thing. Its times like these that i wish i lived in a house so i could have backyard for all of this. The front porch gets crowded with all these little guys but it's not like i ever have anyone over! The real trouble is keeping the raccoons away. I know they like trash but for whatever reason when I grow tomatoes they like to get into them. I don't really know if they eat them but they like to make a mess of them.

I forgot yesterday was Valentine's Day. Oh Marley Schmitt how do you do these things? Having Monday's off, not having a television, and fishing/writing all day...
It's not like I hate love or anything. I don't have anyone for that day so the day is off my radar. I've never liked the day because of my husband the waste of space. Even if I had a boy friend I think I'd forget it. The only reason I remember the other holidays is because everyone goes crazy about them for weeks and weeks ahead of time.
Now it is Tuesday. I hope those who celebrated had a good one.
My life is so boring. The highlight of my day was watching two squirrels running up and down a tree and across the grass. I don't trust them because they're so spry and twitchy. If there were going to be some sort of apocolypse I bet it would start with squirrels.

A woman was fired the other day because her iphone had a glitch. Her boss didn't know at the time and neither did she. She thought she had forgotten to set her alarm but when she got an email about the iphones having a glitch in them that would impact the alarms she knew she didn't mess up. Her boss still wouldn't give her her job back. So stupid. She wrote Steve Jobs an email telling him he's a dick in a pretty passive aggressive way and said that she'd be paying her iphone bill late that month at the end of the letter.

What's everyone doing for the holidays? Are there any sort of town events that go on for Christmas? I know it's politically correct to say holidays but ...it's still Christmas time for me. I'm new around here and I'd hate to miss out on something like a tree lighting or you know just something interactive and nice. :)
Another thing I wanted to know was if there are any other lakes around aside from you know the big one. I heard people talking about ice-skating on it and I was wondering if there was any place to go ice-fishing?
Okay one more question! I thought I was done. Does anyone know if there's a community college or adult classes offered around here? I want to take a writing class but the university is too expensive :(
